Driver For Dell Keyboard
This is an odd problem where these keyboards often refuse to be detected immediately or work for a bit then refuse to be detected until you change USB port where they work for a bit and then stop working, after which you can't use the same USB port again, changing to yet another USB port will often fix it for a bit but then the same thing happens. The problem also seems to happen in both OS and BIOS.Dell Smartcard Keyboard KB813Dell Optiplex 7010Windows 7 32bitChipset drivers etc have all be checked.Any ideas? That's a cool bug.I presume that despite taking time to detect, they're not preventing the system from booting? That indicates a power issue, but here it's as though they work until they decide that they don't like that port and refuse to work on that port until a hard reboot. Strange. For poops and giggles, have you tried booting the system with the keyboard attached to a powered USB hub?I presume you're using the rear USB ports in the mix? Older (pre-7010) Dell systems often had trouble with the front ports and high-power peripherals.
Dell Smartcard Keyboard Drivers Windows 7
We're getting that problem with certain peripherals, but only within the OS. How to open windows services in xp. Stupid USB.It seems to have calmed down after enabling point and print restrictions and adding auto-driver installation of certain driver class GUIDs.If it's within the BIOS, I would say look for a keyboard firmware update. Also, if you haven't done it yet, enable the legacy USB support and take a look at the power saving settings. For the OS, it's probably seeing the keyboard and the smartcard portion as 2 different devices, which is correct, or even that there's a hub attached.
